Peel & Stick Vinyl Floor Tiles

I have to admit, I was slightly skeptical about these tiles. The “peel and stick” didn’t seem like it would be secure enough and I wasn’t sure how they would line up. Well, let me tell you, if you are covering linoleum (or any other flat surface) these are a dream! I wouldn’t personally recommend putting them over tile simply because I haven’t done it and I don’t know how the grout lines would look underneath. It might be fine, but I just don’t know. I’d imagine there would be an indention over the grout lines over time.

This is the flooring that was there:

The homeowners have big plans for other rooms in their house so they didn’t want to blow their budget on flooring for the laundry room. We went with the vinyl tiles because they were an easy way to add personality to the room for fairly cheap. I used a utility knife and regular scissors for most of it but I quickly realized that a vinyl floor cutter would make the long cuts even easier. I bought the below vinyl floor cutter from Lowes. It made laying the tile against the walls a lot faster.

We went with the FloorPops in Sienna which was a really fun pattern.

I painted the shiplap Calligraphy by Behr and it matched the dark blue in the floor perfectly. Here is how it looked at the end.

Overall, I think these were a big win! They were fairly inexpensive, easy to install, and they look great!

FloorPops has a lot of pretty patterns available. Here are my favorites: https://liketk.it/3ApFf
